Dear Readers,
Today I have a new introduction and my recent project. I have been renovating Cedar Terrace which is a classic sylvanian building. I chose this building because of two blogs that I had read.
This blog shows the potential of the house with some paint and is what made me want to buy it. It suddenly becomes this ornate and beautiful terrace house rather than something plain and boring.

I also love this blog and I have mentioned it a few times I think? I cannot take credit for the house set up as I have used some ideas from Sweet Berry Valley. Her Dalmatian home was so well curated and allows you to have everything you need in one house.

Without much more talking, here you are:
Cedar Terrace is a row of houses in Evergreen Hollow. But, it is not like a typical row of terrace houses. When Lloyd Fairing designed this space, he wanted there to be space, nothing cramped or close. He gave each house a wrap around garden and, with the help of his wife, lots of greenery. You might say this was biased because he himself lives there so he was perhaps too generous. Peter Timbertop, the mayor, loved the idea and didn’t turn down the amount of space the houses would take up.
After lots of building work, the row was quickly assumed by lots of villages. The only one left was number 8. Peter quickly took down the for sale sign, he had a way of filling an important role in the village by using the house as an incentive.
Behind the terrace houses, across the field the back on to, is a large Evergreen forest. This is where the Osborne’s Lodge is. The place is quiet and tranquil and provides the village with the wood needed for the winter months. Obviously with responsible planting and care for the forest. Peter had noticed, with the growing village, that wood was becoming quite scarce. The villagers were going out weekly to chop wood for their fires which was tiresome and laborious.
Peter saw the gap and decided to take action. He created an advertisement for a lumber jack, specifying that this person had to have expertise, experience and lot of strength. There were no replies and Peter’s heart began to sink. He needed someone desperately, his villagers and he himself could not carry on this way. While it is sunny now, it would soon be winter.
After a month or so, a reply came in. The name was “Hugo Lumberjack Services” and it did not specify what animal he was. He ran a large business cutting, seasoning and delivering wood across the northern part of Sylvanian but now he wanted something smaller. He said he wanted a “small town lifestyle” without the administrative needs a large business had. Peter offered him an interview, curios as to who he was.
On the day a heavy knock came on his front door. In front of Peter (who was a large grizzly bear himself) stood a nightly elephant. Hugo introduced himself as Hugo Trunk and he was dressed smartly. His clothes still showed that he was as strong, well, as strong as an elephant. Peter was amazed at his luck and the interview went very well. Hugo was offered the job of maintaining the forest, ensuring that trees were being replanted. He would chop, season and deliver the logs. Hugo was pleased, the job was no where near as busy as his life was before. He was glad to have his weekends back. Peter also offered him a home with his job, Cedar Terrace 8. Hugo was more than happy to accept this additional bonus to already perfect job.
Here are the family after moving in:
