Dear readers,
I hope this post finds you well and feeling festive. I have lots of things planned for my village over the next few weeks. I also wanted to reassure you that I have not been ignoring my sylvanians during my absences. At the moment I have a few projects in the working but I prefer showing you the finished article, rather than something half done.
At the moment I am renovated a 1980’s bakery for my Bramble hedgehog family. At the moment I am painting the inside so it’s not far from being done. I am really excited to show you.
My other project is the Woodland Lodge. This house is situated a few miles from Evergreen Hollow and I am really excited to show you how cosy it is!
I got these buildings in a lot from EBay. I got them for a really good deal and they are my projects for the next few months. The other items are a post office and a boutique which I wanted to make into a seamstress shop (or something along those lines).
Aside from these I have also been collected things to create a full diorama which I will post about over December.
These points aside, I have also collected some new and exciting figures too! I told you I’ve been busy, I am juggling a lot! This is what this post is about, a new family I have purchased which is quite special.
For the 40th Anniversary they announced a new family which are the Dalmatians! I could not help myself, I really love the newer dog mould which we saw in the Fenton dog family a few years ago. They then released the chocolate Labrador family again which is currently an exclusive at Smyth Toys Superstore which is another family I would like. But anyway, back to the point…
Meet the Dearly family! They are named Paul, Phoebe, Scarlet, Mark and Carl. They are dressed in very fancy clothes! I love how coordinated they are. Plus look at Carl in his braces, he looks so cute! If you are wondering why they are called the Dearly family, I just had to change their surname from ‘Dalmatian’. I googled the surname from the 101 Dalmatian movie which is Radcliffe which I didn’t like. Then it said that the original film (pre Disney) the family were called Dearly. I thought that was adorable. I like a link to something in real life and I thought Dearly suited their look, very well to do and kind hearted in the face. Paul and Phoebe are talented at dressmaking and will be creating the finest garments for Evergreen Hollow. Paul is also talented at repairing torn seams and hems so they will also be offering that as a service. You might remember that I said I had a boutique building. That will be for Paul and Phoebe to run as their shop. They will also have some help from other women in the village who enjoy sewing too. But, at the moment the shop is empty while the family settle into the village. Scarlet and Mark are very sweet children that understand that clothes are not just ‘clothes’ to their parents. They enjoy having creative items of clothing. At the moment Scarlet is being taught how to sew by her mother. Mark is not so interested though, he would rather mess around with his friends.
