A busy day at the clinic

 Dear readers,

I hope this post finds you well!

The first thing I must mention is that my blog has suddenly soared in popularity! The views are through the roof and I am so grateful to see that so many people are reading my blog. Thank you for reading and keeping up with my little village. It’s so lovely to see.

For this post I decided that I wanted to write a story that features one of my new sets. I bought myself the dentist set a few months back because I wanted my clinic to be able to cater to all of my sylvanians needs. It came with a new figure who will be my villager's dentist.

I hope you like the story!

Early every morning, except Sundays, Thomas arrives at his clinic. He likes the colder weather and particularly enjoys the colour of the changing leaves. He flicks on the heating in the clinic before sitting down to look at his patient list. Toby always prepares it for him the night before so he knows what he needs to get ready. Thomas knows that every Tuesday is the clinic's baby in session. This means all the parents of children who are 2 and under can pop in for a chat and check up.

Thomas thinks it's vital that you give parents early support to ensure their children are growing up healthy and strong.

The newest member of the clinic team is Ettie. Ettie is Sylvania's top dentist, of her graduating class, and Thomas knew he had to get her for his clinic. Not to mention he things that Andrew has a little crush on her.

Ettie likes to get in a little after Thomas. She preps her chair, ensures that all her equipment is up to scratch and checks she hasn't received any emergency referrals.

Not much longer after Ettie's arrival is Andrew. Andrew is the travelling doctor for those villagers that are too ill to attend clinic or live far out. Andrew likes his job as he gets to travel around the village. The clinic is his base though and he has to get supplies and his patient list every morning.

Thomas also likes to check in with his brother to ensure that the clinic's services are all running smoothly as well.

Not much longer after all of the morning preparation Toby Sunflower arrives. He runs the admin side of the clinic but is a phlebotomist too. He will help out and see his own patients if they need any specific blood panels taking.

The patter of feet across the patio means that their first patients are arriving. Toby promptly checks they have an appointment before reassuring them their visit won't be too long. He knows that dentist patients are always more nervous.

Tiffany has come with her dad, Fred, to have her teeth checked.

After getting checked in Ettie makes sure that Tiffany has a bib to protect her dress and makes sure that she is comfortable.

Then she reassures her that it won't hurt and it's simply a check up.

The first drop in appointment is Avril Nieve. Avril has brought her triplets in to make sure they are healthy. Their names are Nelly, Rae and Petal.

Thomas can already see how much they are growing!

Next up to see Ettie is Ivor Trunk with his mother Savannah. Toby always books the Trunks in more often as tusks can get quite sore if they are not properly cared for.

Ivor is very used to having his teeth checked.

Toby has to actually hop over the desk for his next appointment. Penny has brought in their children, Sam, Upton and Nora, to have a check up.

Thomas is glad to see they are eating lots of sunflower seeds!

As Penny was leaving Toby answers a phone call. "Dental emergency, Aubrey has chipped a tooth while working on some particularly hard wood!".

Thomas quickly prepares the clinic making sure that there is nothing in the way.

Toby helps Ettie prepare the dental area to ensure it's ready for Aubrey.

A very distressed Nancy and Aubrey enter. Aubrey has chipped a large piece of his tooth.

Ettie quickly gets to work ensuring that Aubrey isn't in pain and repairing the tooth.

After the ordeal Aubrey sits up. His mouth is a little numb but he can tell already that his teeth will be fine. Which is a good thing when you a beaver in the carpentry trade.

Toby recommends some botanicals and pain killers to ensure the tooth heals and he isn't in too much pain.

After the clinic has been re-arranged after the emergency, Thomas opens the drop in baby sessions. This time it's Claus and Nola with their newly hatched chicks. Their names are Pia, Arlo and Hugh.

They are still very tiny but Thomas can see what excellent care and love they are receiving at home!

After a long day, with an emergency in the middle of it, Thomas invites his staff out for dinner.

They head into the town where John and Kenneth run their pizza place.

The McBurrows are having some pizza.

Yardley and her family are enjoying an evening stroll.

After a hectic day they are very deserving of a pizza!

I hope you liked this story! I really enjoyed photographing it.

For the eagle eyed collectors you will have noticed that the new born fairy snowbirds are part of an exclusive set. I recently purchased the fairy snowbird log cabin. I plan to shoot some cozy winter stories there as well as a set up after it's been decorated.

As far as Wisteria Restaurant is going, I have painted all the furniture. Now I am slowly painting the front and inside walls. It's slowly getting there!

Best wishes,
Helly
